Ok, here's what we need.

You, all 37 of you under the best circumstances. Nearly 0.0000000007 percent of the US population, so I have an audience. So listen up.  Yeah, I might have left a couple zero's out, nevermind that.

Writer pauses here, hoping people will pay more attention than his kids did, Realizes this is a futile hope, wonders how much beer is in the fridge

Here it is: We need someone to comment on the news, in the blogs we frequent, daily. Or at least every couple days. Ok, once a week would work. But someone. You, yeah you out there! I'm talking to you. Do it. Feature the top stuff, put your spin on it. The small stuff too. We'll not criticize, or at least not much. Ok, there might be a few 'suggestions', or possible 'alterations' to the piece you might have made, but it's all made in a helpful way. "You fucking idiot' can be spun several ways, eh?

So one of you, step up. Don't think of yourself as a sacrificial lamb, please. I'm assured the readers will whisper kind things in your ear as they draw the razor across your throat.

Some suggestions for you, as that guy in black and white said, Rod what's his name... "For your consideration"....things to offer your opinion on:

From the NY Times

Or here, from a blogger I found through another, a good outdoor blog. It's interesting to wonder about her, and the blog. It's just one of many posts, she has time to write a lot.

What I'm interested in is your opinions, what you think.

Abortion?

Racial differences, real or imagined? If so, what does that mean?

Can I just quit trying, or is this something that has some legs, if short ones?

It's starting winter here, nothing else to do. Give me some slack.

    1. I only put that phrase in for you, so you'd have someting to snark at. I've noticed that mostly if you cant point out some shortcoming, no comment.

  4. Real or imagined? this is the case with most news stories.

    1. Really? Most news stories are perhaps imagined?? So the recent Ebola stuff, imagined? Problems in the mid-east, imagined?
You're not suggesting it's a conspiracy, right? If so, let me know, I do love me a good conspiracy......

  5. You must consider becoming a regular talk radio fan & contributor. As a wingnut you won't feel the need to consider that other points of view might have some validity.

  6. Let me get this straight. You want us to go fight the good fight, out there on the internet? You know, I suppose I could, if you insist.

    1. Hey, I'm only discovering this crap, so go easy on your dad. And yes, I insist. It's in the father-daughter contract you signed at the age of 1 hour.

  7. Maybe we could take turns posting the most recent episode of John Oliver's 'Last Week Tonight' and talk about that.

  9. O.K. The Tea Partyers are all crazy as shithouse bats and ought to be deported to Batland.

The Democrats have no candidate for President. Hillary may/will run or she may see the wisdom of the times and realize she doesn't have a chance in hell and decline into grandmotherhood.

In fact, as my wife and I were discussing tonight (and we are liberal Democrats) the only name that has been mentioned that may have a ghost of a chance is . . . Jeb Bush. And he may be wise enough to not run.

    How's that for a start?

(We could always talk about football. Arizona's Cardinals won again today. Arizona State University trounced Notre Dame yesterday and is #7 in the A.P. poll now.)

  10. FOOD FIGHT!

    1. Abortion must be kept legal. Unwanted pregnancies and desperate women are a bad combination.

    2. I suspect that there are racial differences, bone structure wise. Other differences are a more difficult subject and one that interests me only because I enjoy the subtle differences in all things.

    3. Whatever you're going for, I insist you keep going. :-)

In other news, we are expecting almost a foot of snow by tomorrow night.

    And I'll drink to that.

    Best wishes,

    Pearl

    2. We all have filters so we pretty much all see things there that maybe really are or are not there. I'm not sure because I'm human and I have filters, too, but I'm not proud of them, and always try to remind myself of the universal truths. We all want to be loved and we all want to be understood.
    3. You don't seem like a quitter
    4. I would vote for H.C.
    5. Have you checked out www.alexandreia.com? They have no problem reporting on the news. It would probably raise your blood pressure, though.

    1. Hey
I always attempt to amuse, one way or another. You would have liked my responses to the staff in the ER sunday night. My buddy David was putting his hand over his face and shaking his head. One question was "What brings you here?"...Ans..."My truck."

  12. Nope. Don't want to. I used to, but now I mostly just blog as a journal. It's not that I never talk about current topics, but I don't on demand. I'll engage on an individual basis in nearly any conversation, but I just don't feel pulled to on my blog right now. And I sure don't want to read blogs like the one you linked to. Why would I listen to the rantings of some right wing, misogynistic, homophobic, racist, anti-choice, no-gun-control, fundamentalist or Obama-hating yahoo? I could just listen to Fox. And I won't do that either.

  13. I used to do it and I wouldn't mind still doing it, if I didn't have to sleep, or could hire someone to take care of all my chores. There is so much to report on these days and so much of what we hear is biased. Biased right, biased left, or biased stupid. I always have an opinion and don't mind commenting of what somebody else reports, but unfortunately one of my addictions is doing research. Research takes a lot of time and I don't have enough of that to even deal with researching my hobbies. So, I guess it's going to have to be you! Having said all that, I just decided to think about it...
