Saturday Satire

I don't think words are necessary, do you?

  1. Mike, I like to think I never voted on gut reaction except once. In 2000 or so, W.Bush was casting aspersions on McCain's military record to cheat a foot up in the primaries. I am not a Republican and would not have voted for McCain, but I resented cheap shots at an honorable man. I felt informed by such tactics what kind of thing Bush was --and, over the next 8 years, I was correct. Could not look at a photo or hear out a speech without bile rising. What we need now, after Obama has begun the clean-up of the Bush years, is not a grimacing over-reactor like Trump (can't comfortably look at him either). We need a solid, square-toed centrist to continue the repairs. Don't know who that is yet.

    1. I expect the Mrs. Clinton is the only 'centrist' out there, though many would say she's actually a moderate Republican (from the days of yore...).
I do wonder if we're not at some odd cusp, and this political cycle is just the beginning of the strangeness.

  2. I wonder if and how the Republicans will be after the convention. They can't possibly be taking themselves seriously.

    1. I can only hope they will be dazed and confused.

  3. I like that coattail and wonder, is Trump at a transgendered urinal?
