Let's not forget the classics

Earlier today, after wandering the Farmer's market here, I thought about dinner tonight. Yes, I got some great vegs......the Hmong's garlic is beyond compare this year, and their bok choy, potatoes, onions, cabbage and  Thai chili's in the same league.

At the one remaining butcher shop I found a locally corned brisket.......not the usual combo, but what the hell.

I cooked the brisket in the oven low heat for 4 hours, transferred to cast iron, back to the oven with the vegs, cut up and here 'tis. .

My cardiologist might not approve, but he's the same guy who described my dx as 'white man's heart, no good rhythm', so what's he know................

Hope you all are having a good weekend. It's seasonal here in Montana, 38f this morning, up to 76f this afternoon.

Best of all worlds, cool at night, short sleeves in the day.

Cheers,
Mike

  2. The brisket is mouth watering. Your climate is almost as good as what we have here on the California central coast. Cheers

  3. Love this meal. In Ireland we always threw in a few crabapples to "cut the fat". Enhanced the flavor too. LOL
