More from Despicable Daines

I  got  an email asking if  I thought  it  should be  a crime  to  'desecrate'  the  flag.  My response:

"Talking about the sanctity of  a  piece of  cloth, symbol of a  nation  or  not, is laughable coming  from a country, congress and  president who  tears  children apart from their  families, then  cites  the Bible as justification.   How long before you and  the  other  GOP  minions  have to  stand  to  attention when your fuhrer speaks?"

  1. Is Daines on drugs? This was settled by the Supreme Court.

    1. Bill, this is the post-truth era, remember? It makes no difference in the veracity of what people like Daines say, they only have two criteria: will trump like it, and will trump's die-hard supporters like it. Facts, truth and morality have no part in their program.

  2. My head hurts too much these days to be civil.

    1. I tried civility with people who support trump; it ain't worth it. What needs to happen is him and his SS troopers voted out of office, then his supporters can fade back into the woodwork and under their rocks.

  4. Smoke and mirrors to distract the foolish and hateful. The flag symbolizing what the government has become is a flag that needs burning.

    1. I hope you can find solace, and comfort in work, in the OR, doing what the patients need. I did, it helped me.

    2. It does. I’ve had to severely limit how much I watch current events, deleted tweeter. I’ll still vote, march as available, but I just can’t keep up *and* keep my head above water.

  5. I never knew there was so much hate and evil simmering below the surface of our country until this POSPOTUS was elected. It's so much worse than I feared. :(

And people who care more about a scrap of fabric than human childrens' lives are just....despicable. And unfortunately, they're also legion.

    1. There are others, Jennifer. And our legion is a lot larger, not just here, but the world, where it counts.

  6. Bang on. They love to deflect from the real issues.

  7. Good answer. So many of these people are more concerned about symbols than people. They are adamant about the words “under God” being stated in the Pledge of Allegiance but forget the last few words, “with liberty and justice for all.”. Those who are allowing this to happen to children (and desperate parents) have no soul.

    1. Not in my world, just like I don't capitalize 'trump'.
