A good day, despite the return of winter

In a nail biter, Senator Tester won by a narrow margin of 7,000 votes, over his GOP opponent. This is despite 4 visits from trump and his nepotistic family to the state to stump for the GOP candidate, and a cost to taxpayers of several million dollars. In these visits he insulted Tester, spread lies about him, and generally did what he does best: spread lies and fear mongering.  This time, to no avail.

Oh, winter is back, this time to stay.

  1. It is 89 degrees outside right now here in Houston.

That's a little too warm for me, especially for November, and on top of that, our senate race didn't go like yours did.

    1. Can you think of an instance where a failed senatorial candidate won the presidency? I think he might make a very good president.

  2. We may have a fire in the fireplace tonight. Weather was warm and sunny this afternoon (60s F). This election is baby steps as to where we should be, but I have faith that the newer younger more female leaders are going to shake things up.

  4. That sure is a beautiful fence out front. Good news for Montana, good news for the US.

    1. My whole side of the block have the same or similar wrought iron fence. They are very common in the 'uptown' part of Butte on places that were built before 1940. Around 15 years ago a 'band' of thieves stole over 20 of the gates during the night. They were mostly located at a antique store in Kansas.

  5. Gadfrey, you can have that snow. I can't stop shivvering. Or maybe that's from Drumpf's news conference today.

    1. You actually listened to the whole thing?? I got nauseated, literally, after 5 minutes of his rambling, nonsensical gibberish and turned off the radio.

  6. Glad for that victory but perplexed by other results.

    1. Which ones, AC? I'm perplexed continually by trump and the fact we elected such a absolute nut.

  7. Congratulations to your candidate! I almost sent you an email, but the frustration of the itsy bitsy keyboard would have tarnished the affair. And Tester's margin seems to be growing.

  8. Our Derek Kitchen won for state senate. He’s a fighter, and may go far.
