Every town has it's problems

This Alces alces was so tired from it's trip into town (there was a sale at Carl's Fine Foods) that it took a nap on someone's front lawn, and refused to get up and leave.

Personally I would have assumed it needed a large can of PBR before it toddled off for the city limits, and got it a six-pac to take with it.

  1. I did that once and I don't remember being coddled and fussed over.

    1. Yep. Early enough that can't tell if it's male/female....looks around 350-400 pounds. Adults can get easily twice that weight.

  4. Some friends of ours who live in Nelson, BC had a moose get his head stuck inside their kitchen door a couple of years ago. He was curious.

    1. I had a friend in Anchorage come out to her yard to find her 2 year old daughter sitting under a moose who was feeding on their shrubs.

  5. I bet there are many houses unfairly branded haunted because a moose got into the bathroom and moans because it can't get out. Best not to let them in in the first place. Mooses are hard enough to coax off the front lawn. You'd think we'd learn.

    1. Oh, we're used to those happenings up here; we always check before bed. However, when the Griz use the kitchen in the middle of the night when they get the munchies.....that's the worst.
