South of the Border, Down Mexico Way......

Copy and pasted from the Seattle PI, once Seattle's morning paper, now entirely on line and very legit.:

"You have a bunch of bad hombres down there," Trump told Pena Nieto, according to the excerpt given to AP. "You aren't doing enough to stop them. I think your military is scared. Our military isn't, so I just might send them down to take care of it."
A person with access to the official transcript of the phone call provided only that portion of the conversation to The Associated Press. The person gave it on condition of anonymity because the administration did not make the details of the call public.
The Mexican website Aristegui Noticias on Tuesday published a similar account of the phone call, based on the reporting of journalist Dolia Estevez. The report described Trump as humiliating Pena Nieto in a confrontational conversation.
Now, is it true? I don't know, but it sounds like our membrane-thin-skinned 'president'. It sounds just like his campaign 'speeches'.
So, buckle up, buttercup.

  1. As Lewis Black said to Stephen Colbert this week, "You just can't make up shit this good!"

  2. One of the important things most people learn in grammar school is other people (especially if they come from south of the border) don't respond well to high-handed insults. They welcome friendship and assistance, but not denigrating remarks with threat of military invasion in them. Did Trump even GO to grammar school?

    1. Geo, that's a term I've not heard in many years, 'grammar school'. I wonder if people now, rather parents of kids that age, would know what it means.

  3. As a Democratic Congressman recently pointed out, our enemy under Bush was the Axis of Evil, under Obama it was Al Qaeda, and under this President it is Mexico, Australia and Chicago.

  4. And today he used the National Prayer Breakfast to urge attendees to pray for Arnold Schwarzenegger whose ratings on The Apprentice are lower than his. What kind of boob is he?

  5. You're right, you can't make this stuff up. But, unlike Obama, he'll keep another terrorist attack from occurring in Bowling Green! Of course, he and his cronies seems quite capable of making this stuff up!

  6. It's one crazy incident after another. I hope that people don't become desensitized to it.
