Real signs of Spring

A grizzly sow and two cubs out of their winter den, near Anaconda, about 20 miles from here.

Spring has sprung, watch out on your spring walks here, they might be feeling peckish.

  4. A definite sign of Spring! I saw a wolf on the way to work this morning. It looked healthy. Hopefully it will keep the deer population away from our garden.

    1. The two 'cubs' are in their second year, sometime this summer the mom is going to kick them out, and have a new litter next spring.

  6. Well, I would hate for them to be feeling "peckish" when I'm in the area. Love the photo!

  7. Nothing more irritating than running into a peckish grizzly bear.
