Rockin' and Rollin'

Woke at 12:30 to feel somebody shaking the bed.  Didn't last very long, maybe 10 seconds. Another milder one a few minutes later.  First one I've ever felt in Montana. 5.8 earthquake centered near Lincoln

  1. How far are you from Yellowstone and the nearest fracking sites?

Closer than 500 miles? Might be time to move farther away, yes?

    Glad you're okay!

    1. The center was actually north of us about 50 miles, Y'stone is South. But if the caldera in Yellowstone ever blows, I'll know about it within minutes.

  2. I can't recall reading of Montana Earthquakes. You'd certainly feel a 5.8.

  3. If (when) Yellowstone blows, we'll all be in a world of hurt.

  4. Frightening, I know. Check your underground plumbing. Loma Prieta played havoc with ours in '89.

  5. We've had a few very small quakes here. Barely noticeable.
