Even though it was 31 yesterday morning, and will barely hit 60 today, Wednesday is supposed to be in the high 70's. We'll see. However, the Lilacs of Butte have decided it's time. Pretty predictable, never happens before June. This one is half mile from my house, and faces south so it gets lots of sun.
Bet they smell wonderful. I remember lilacs from Colorado, but have not tried them here.
ReplyDeleteWednesday, when it's above 70 mine will be blooming, and the scent will raft into the house through the kitchen window.
Delete"raft"??? perhaps 'waft'......
DeleteThis is how we mark time.
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is. Hope your late spring is going well.
DeleteGreat color!
ReplyDeleteThanks, not too bad for a phone camera.
DeleteLilacs have followed me from home to home. My sister is particularly fond of them.
ReplyDeleteMy whole house smells of them from the bush in the back yard.
DeleteWhen the lilacs bloom here in Bluff country its time to hunt for morels...:)
ReplyDeleteHere in Silver Bow Co. it means the stonefly hatch is on at the Big Hole.
