1 December

6:30 pm, 1974 the one on the left emerged into the world.

12:30 pm 1987 her sister joined her.

Oddly, my hair and beard were totally light brown before these events.

  1. Y'know, any time my father makes such a baseless accusation about myself or my siblings, I merely mention my mother...

    1. I do, yes. A trait of the males in my family is we develop a 'widow's peak' early, then don't lose any more.

  3. Kids'll do that to you, yeah they will. Just like we did the same to our parents. Yup.

Happy birthday to the life-changing, life-enhancing beauties above!

(Whoa! Is that a grey hair I see at Kate's hairline...a little left of middle? Heh-heh - so the beat goes on.)

    1. Nah, that's Emily's blond streak. I'm the larger one, who dyes her hair all sorts of red-purpley colors and thus has no idea if her teens are giving her grey hairs. TAO would certainly not give me grey hairs, oh no...

    2. Kate, I had the right daughter; was razzing you in a respectful manner because of all that you have endured and triumphed over...including a cantankerous (sometimes), probably obstinate father.

Clever move on the multiple colors - maybe I should try that.

  4. Yes Sir kids definitely do that to you, I also remember a time when my hair and beard were dark, so with that said you have to love them anyway.

  5. Now we've seen the jolly duo, Kate and Emily. (Maybe that large glass of something red helped the jollity.) It's time we see the poor old white haired father of this brood.

  7. I have 4 children and my hair's fine --I just wear it thinner and further back now for cosmetic reasons.

  9. I'm sure that my kids would say that I caused the same to happen to them. It's not true of course...
