Huh. You from Butte? Still here? Butte people seem to have this same opinion: we are special, we are tough, we are......whatever. I've lived here since '96, which makes me a complete newcomer. If you weren't born in butte, you're not from butte. And the motto is "Butte Tough", whatever the hell that means. Personally, I think the motto should be "We're dumb, we're Butte, and proud of it." I like Butte because you can drive to Montana from here. Because I have good neighbors, I don't have ones that are screaming drunk in the street at 3am, I don't have ones that beat up their spouses when they can't get enough meth, etc. I like Butte because I can pick and choose when I'll be here, what parts of Butte I can like and what parts I can ignore. I like the small town feel in terms of friendliness, helpfullness.....I don't like what I feel is the parochial attitude that tells us we are the ideal. Anyway, more of a response you probably wanted. Yes, tapping 'er light is always a good idea.
