A few days ago I got two bunches of alstroemeria, (sp), I like for their long persistence in a vase.Here. Where the windowpane around them can have an inch of ice on the inside in a minus 10 degree night.
The temperature is gradually warming: highs in the mid 40's, the coming week, lows only around 10. Springtime in the Rockies.
Hope you are all well.
I have forgotten where you are, but we are going to get up to 50s this week! Citrus will be taken outside and sprayed for bugs before bringing them back in side.
ReplyDelete"Our" flower stand was sold out last weekend, until tomorrow. Our vase is pruned to the bare minimum from two weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteSome of your weather would be nice. It snowed last night.
nice juxtaposition.
ReplyDeleteIt "warmed" to 48 degrees? I rarely makes it into the 40's around here. When it does occasionally hit freezing, it's amazing how much of the local vegetation dies.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers in front of all that snow makes a great contrast (and great photo).
U need spring x
ReplyDeleteI love alstroemeria. It stays fresh for son long.
ReplyDelete48 is still bitterly cold in my book.
Now that's a new flower to me....
