Oh no! That's just....too much. How do you stand it?! It's going to get back down to 30F tonight and tomorrow and everyone in South Carolina is acting all pissy about it. (We'd been wearing shorts last week!)
Jennifer Let me ask this: what it the temp on the 15th of July at midnight at your house? On Aug 31? It's around 45 here, sleeping is fine. But yeah, we don't expect spring in April. Or May.....
People are moaning around here because we got five inches of snow yesterday. We expect more on Monday so winter is still here. I do expect, though, that spring will arrive in April.
We're having an early spring in Georgia. I don't think I've ever seen dogwoods bloom as early as they have this year. Wisteria is in bloom, and the cherry trees already have patches of bloom here and there. We may have an especially miserable summer if this keeps up.
Okay, I admit - it got colder here again and there were a few light flurries and I was a complete grump about it. Even though I know it's not okay that we got such early warm weather before that.

Ha! It's miserably hot here in July and August. Sleeping is fine here, too...as long as the a/c is running nonstop! :)
DeleteI literally don't know anyone with an AC in their house here. The only time it get's used in the truck is summer trips over to WA or OR.
DeleteI agree. Absolutely balmy.
ReplyDeleteYep, bright sunny day, too.
DeleteThe snow pack in the Sierra is less than it should be. 29 makes for a spirited day.
ReplyDeleteHopefully March will bring more for you folks.
DeleteGot up to 60 here today. I think it was supposed to be warmer.
ReplyDeleteBundle up, I can send a down parka if you or SWIMBO need it, Bruce.
DeleteHere in Halifax it's still cold, the difference this year being that we've had very little snow.
ReplyDeleteIt's been uneven distribution of snow in the lower 48, we're over average, the Sierra's in CA are around 30%.

ReplyDeleteYou must love where you live.
I like a lot about it, and I actually don't mind the winters. Makes the 50 days of summer seem special.
DeleteEven here in the "banana belt" of southeastern Minnesota NOT A CHANCE...
ReplyDeleteYeah, if I'm lucky I'll see the crocus Emily planted maybe late May.
DeleteThese days we are mostly inching above freezing during the day and below at night, here in Eastern Ontario.
ReplyDeletesounds like here, AC

ReplyDeleteDoubt I'll visit there anytime between March and Dec.

ReplyDeleteLemme see if I can interpret 'colder'.....under 55, right?
DeleteMy March is not like your March, although this year, so far, it's been one long game of spring today and winter tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYeah, here it's been winter today and winter tomorrow.
DeleteI took off my sweater at noon today, Mike. To a Californian, that's pretty drastic.
ReplyDeleteYou're an example for us all, Geo.
DeleteI will never complain again when it gets "cold" here. I feel like a wuss now...
