Ironic and Appropriate

Meet the Federal judge who blocked trump's muslim ban.

Judge James Robart, on the Federal bench 12 years. He has been praised by such divergent people as Senator Patty Murray and Senator Orin Hatch.

The irony?  He's a GOP appointee, put on the bench by Georgie boy Bush, confirmed by unanimous votes.

One can just imagine the tantrum trump is throwing, flinging himself down on the Oval Office floor, kicking his heels into the carpet and flinging his arms around.

One can only hope that the still-honorable members of the GOP will grow a pair, or whatever metaphor you like, and support this ban.

  1. I should have said 'support this block on the ban' vs 'support this ban'.

  2. Has the Trump tweeted about this yet? No doubt he'll be venting his rage there, calling Judge Robart "highly overrated" (like Meryl Streep). Bravo Judge Robart!

  3. My feeling is that Mr. Trump never really wanted to be the president but once he got on a roll his ego took over. He's not a man used to do doing anything other than what he feels like doing on any given day. He also has always enjoyed being liked. I think he's already bored and miserable and is lashing out. I think he'd be happier if he fired himself.

    1. There are some impulses that should be acted upon, eh?

  4. If we could interpose eras, one can't help but wander who might be a Cassius and who might be a Brutus and who else might want to wade in. How many members of the Roman senate made history on the ides of March?

    1. Indeed, good thoughts. As a backup we could have Paris in 1793, y'know Louis XVI and all that......

  5. I think it's the puppet masters throwing the tantrum. Trump is a mere tool.
He dictates his Tweets. He is a basic illiterate. A showman.

  6. I heard a rumor that a few rebellious Republicans have actually read and understood the Constitution. I am pretty sure it one of those urban myths, though.

    1. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask for sources on that one. I believe it may be 'fake news'.

  7. I kind of like thinking about Trump's fits. I think he's going to be having many more of them. It's not easy having so many bosses. Not quite what he imagined, I'm sure.

  8. He's probably already asked Daddy Bannon what he can do to get rid of that "so called judge".

    1. My daughter Kate thinks this was well thought out by the WA and CA guvs and AG's. They knew where the judge would be to rule, and where the appeal would go. Pretty damn smart, if so.
Think this will go to the Supremes?

  9. I didn't realize he was a Bush appointee. That makes his action even sweeter.

  10. This should be interesting! I can't believe Trump referred to him as a "so called judge." What a cry baby he is. He is also a tool...
