Next, it appears I brought some Butte-ish weather with me. 9" of snow has pretty much paralyzed the city and surrounding environs. What's more, the day before the weather hit, my dependable truck turned mulish and refused to run, respond to threats. It's still in the Safeway parking lot, covered with snow. No repair shops or towing services open.
Brrr. Our snow is all gone and we got 2 days of 60 degrees and then we go back to winter.
ReplyDeleteThe Seattle area is supposed to get more snow Friday, we'll see.
DeleteI read about all your snow, while ours is melting. But a classic picture of kids 'n snow!
ReplyDeleteBy Butte standards it's a mild snowfall, here it's Armageddon.
DeleteHeard about that odd storm. We had 4.1 inches of rain in 4 days. Cold-by central coast standards now-High today 50 low tonight 36. Could get snow to 2000 feet...we could see some on Rocky Butte, Vulcher, Red Mountain and Triple Slough. The pass on Green Valley Road to Paso summits right at 2000. Sorry about your truck. The adorable one is well named! Glad you are to spend time with her.
ReplyDeleteTurns out it was only some corrosion on the battery terminal. Sounds like it'll be a very green spring on the Central Coast, be sure to post pics.
DeleteIt's interesting how 10" of snow and temps in the teens can paralyze a metropolitan area.....the driving conditions are fine with my truck, but the nuts on the road are the hazard.
It's very icy here after some rain which came after the snow. And there's another ice storm heading our way in a few hours.
ReplyDeleteNothing like driving on a skating rink with other traffic to keep life interesting.
DeleteYou know, there were probably better host gifts you could have brought. :-)
ReplyDeleteY'shoulda stayed in Butte!
