After a smoke-free summer.......

First week of September, and our first nearby fire. About 10 miles from town, grew from 100 acres to 900 acres in a day. It's been unseasonably hot, upper 80's instead of the normal 70's at this time of year. Fortunately, it's supposed to rain tomorrow, that should help.

  1. I think we are getting your cool temperatures. It has been quite moderate and pleasant here for the past week or so. Good luck with the rain.

  2. I was just thinking the other day that I haven’t heard of any fires outs west this year. Last year they were constant and very destructive. I hope the rain does the trick on what you are looking at.

  3. Yes, good luck with the rain. We're on the low side recently; I've had to water the flowers.

  6. Did it rain and stop the fire or is it still going?
