Semi-throwback Thursday

Taken maybe 12-15 years ago, my buddies dog Ellie telling me to get up and grab my rod, enough of the sitting.

75 today, there was a time I didn't think I'd make it to 21, but here I am, for better or worse.

Since it's my three quarters of a century day, I threw caution to the winds and had chorizo and eggs for breakfast.

  1. Happy Birthday. It's like the old line, "If we knew we were going to get this old, we'd taken better care of ourselves!"
BTW, that breakfast looks great! It has a little more kick than my two prunes, almond butter on rice cracker, soft boiled egg, green juice and turkey burger.

    1. Attributed to Satchel Paige, if memory serves. Yeah, and so true. It was good, as I said, caution was thrown to the winds, which we had a bit of the other night.

    2. Still here; one day at a time - literally.

Wish I'd had someone with your skills on hand. Time in hospitals might have gone a bit easier. Thank you for asking. I'm very glad to hear you are okay.

  5. Well, shucks, now I've only got you by 5 years and about 9 months! Happy birthday, my friend, and eat hearty. SWMBO roasted some chicken last night in her own made-up Sriracha barbecue sauce. Spicy and delicious!
