Yes, it's been a bit. I'm still here, living now in Portland. I miss Montana, I miss the weather, not the people. Some, I have good friends there, but Montana has moved so far to the right politically, like the nation, I am no part of it.
Portland is...so different than when Cary and I lived here, 1970-73, again in 76-80. The neighborhoods have become so...yuppified. No, more diversified, which I guess is a good thing.
I posted some photo's at random...here's two from the Columbus day storm of 62...
A guy sent this to me recently, from a Viet Nam group, he was a photographer for the Marines, he took this in '69...it's in Da Nang, the station hospital.
Here's my son Henry, with the now 15 month old Nelly.
And the Adorable One, in the 7th grade this year chowing down on seafood on the Oregon coast
Not sure if I'll post more, but judging from the responses and views, it doesn't matter.
Hope all that see this are well.
Hi, Mike. I read it all, here, on Facebook, occasionally on other blogs and once in a while on mine.
ReplyDeleteI think you know Laura has made it to her third year at Akron U, majoring in geology. I sat here for five minutes trying to remember a decent word for rocks. The old house is covering so severely in stones I moved out to make more room.
FYI, Mr. Mike, I does matter if you post or not to the several of us who read you, here and on Facebook and on other blogs where you post. Please never think you can scare us off. Well, ALL of us.
I'm glad Laura has done so well, congrats to her and you! Hope you are well and weaving.
DeleteIt's good to see you posting, Mike.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer. If you do start sewing, I'll send some stuff needs mending...lol.
DeleteI am sure that you miss that aspect of Montana, but I would rather live where you are now.
ReplyDeleteHey AC, thanks. I enjoy your photographs a lot.
DeleteGood to see you're well
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing, Robbie? Hope you're well and thriving. Still up in the mountains?
DeleteSo glad to see you've posted today. I finally figured out a work-around for comments-barriers, so I hope you'll be back more often.
ReplyDeleteHenry has the grin of a very happy and proud Papa!
Thanks Martha. Yes, he's a great dad. Not sure how much blogging I'll do, but I like hearing from you.
