My beloved Oregon Ducks are in the final four for the first time since they won it all in 1939. This meme is from the old Oregon Trail video game, one of the oldest around....my eldest played it in the mid-eighties. Oregon beat Kansas, the number one seed, by 14 points.
The weather is gradually warming here, the snow is gone from my lawn, it was 23 this morning and by noon it'll be 50 and people will be frolicking in the streets.
That warmth may be heading this way in a couple of days. Try not to use it all up before it gets here, please.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, it was snowing lightly a few minutes ago, but not sticking.
DeleteGood for the Ducks. My brackets are busted now, but watching this dance is a great joy. The unexpected happens.
ReplyDeleteMy ideal scenario at the moment is that both UO and Gonzaga win their games, and meet for the championship.
DeleteI can't say "Oregon Ducks" without giggling. It sounds like a cartoon team. Not that I have any knowledge of them or any other sports team.
ReplyDeleteWe have a couple of days coming up where the low will be just below 50.
Yeah, 'quack quack' ain't much of a battle cry, is it? The forecast high this week is 48.
DeleteNice for the joints and brain that warm weather is coming.
ReplyDeleteYep. Another two months and it might hit 70.
DeleteDo you suppose there's any chance of them signing Devin Booker?
ReplyDeleteAlas, he used up his college allotment for Kentucky.
DeleteI don't follow basketball, but do follow the sun. It is rumored that it might appear today and that definitely is a win.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mind if it came out here, too.
DeleteAll I can say is "Go Heels!"
ReplyDeleteUm, yeah....well, you are welcome to come back anytime, I don't discriminate.......
DeleteI remember that game! the video game, not the 1939 game...
ReplyDeleteYou gotta be used to cold weather when 50 degrees is cause for frolicking.
