The Hoard Comes to Montana

They left Tuesday after being here 4 days. Having all your kids and a grandkid around, talking, laughing, was a complete and total joy.

This last includes me on one end, and my best buddy of 48 years, David, on the other. House is very quiet since they left. I would hear them faintly at night, out on the porch talking, every once in awhile I'd hear the word 'dad', but I'd ignore it.

  2. I know that feeling. I hate the quiet when my family leaves but I go back to my life and think about them everyday.o

    1. My youngest, Emily, makes sure she talks to me a couple times each day. I've gotten used to it, and like it.

  3. Glad you had a good visit. I see where you too are a moccasin guy!
By the way, the lake and the area round Firehole falls looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing the family shots too. Nothing better than family.

    1. Yeah, easier to get on and off, etc. Still do the 'real thing' for walks, etc.

  5. What fun! Kids are really able to lift the spirits, and it's nice to be with those familiar faces and voices of family.

  7. But I thought Hemingway was dead. How'd he creep into that last photo? Seriously, Mike, you're looking great. I just called Judy in here to show her and she said "He's a good lookin' man!" So any invitations I might have offered for you to visit are hereby canceled! :>
